Filled Liquid Crystals
The model of filled nematic structure as conglomerates of silica particles
in liquid crystal matrix was proposed and proved. The effects of electrically-driven

effective control of their characteristics by a chemical modification
of a solid phase surface was achieved.

Suspension of ultrafine ferro-magnetic particles in liquid crystals
It was created the cells that posses a high sensitivity to magnetic field
in contrast to pure liquid crystal media. It was found the possibility
to control an alignment of the suspension in magnetic field due to adsorption
of the ferro-particles on the surface. The developed system is very promising
for extra-sensitive magnetically controlled LC devices and information
processing and storage.
Suspension of ultrafine ferro-electric particles in liquid crystals
The ferro-electric LC suspensions possess advanced electro-optics characteristics
in comparison to traditional homogeneous LC materials.
