LCI
hosts first of four candidates for KSU Senior Vice President
for Academic Affairs and Provost
The first of four Kent State University candidates for Senior Vice
President for Academic Affairs and Provost visited the Liquid Crystal
Institute (LCI) today. The Institute is one of several campus departments
meeting with the Provost candidates. Dr. Robert G. Frank, currently
Dean and Professor of Clinical and Health Psychology, College of
Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida,
attended a presentation and tour by LCI Director Dr. Oleg D. Lavrentovich
and Dr. John West, Vice President of Research and Dean of Graduate
Studies.
Three other
candidates will be visiting the LCI on the following dates:
• Timothy J. L. Chandler, Dean, College of the Arts, Kent State University
will visit on January 29.
• Elizabeth Langland, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs,Purchase
College, State University of New York will visit on February 1.
• Walter Harris Jr., Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs,
Loyola University, New Orleans will visit on February 5.

The Senior Vice President and Provost will replace Provost Paul
Gaston, who has announced his desire to return to the faculty.
