Polymer-Stabilized Cholesteric Textures

Formation of polymer networks in liquid crystals:
Small concentration of reactive monomer 3~5 wt% and ~0.25%of photoinitiator are dissolved in LC. Photopolymerization takes place in LC (nematic, ferroelectric,cholesteric) phase. Resulting polymer network mimics structure of LC phase.
