The Liquid Crystal Institute is a center for basic and applied liquid crystal research and home to the Graduate Chemical Physics Interdisciplinary Program. Institute achievements include the discovery and characterization of new liquid crystalline phases and the invention of new types of liquid crystal devices. Active research collaborations with scientific centers and industrial partners in the United States and abroad provide exciting opportunities for applying today's cutting-edge research to tomorrow’s technologies.
