Immediate opening for a postdoctoral fellow in chemical synthesis at the Liquid Crystal Institute (LCI) to conduct research involving synthesis and characterization of functional advanced materials.
Qualifications: Ph. D. in organic chemistry or related discipline. Self-motivated chemist with strong background in chemical synthesis and experience with biaxial nematic liquid crystals, light-driven molecular motors, and/or gold nanorods is preferred.

Work Schedule: 12-month term appointment

Salary: $35,001

Opening for non-teaching Postdoctoral Fellow in applied mathematics/physics in the area of computational PDEs. PhD in applied mathematics, physics or engineering and experience with nonlinear PDEs and numerical methods is required. Familiarity with meshing techniques and data structures is an asset. Advanced programming experience in Fortran 90/95 or C/C++ is preferred.

Work Schedule: Full-time 12 month term appointment
