Glenn
Brown's visionary prediction becoming a reality through LCPs
LCI Founder,
Dr. Glenn H. Brown, predicted many years ago that the next big
breakthrough in LC technologies would come from biological applications.
Today, we are seeing more and more biological applications of
liquid crystals. One recent highlight is the
research and development of liquid crystal pharmaceuticals
(LCPs) (collaboratively developed by researchers at Kent State
University, University
of Akron, Summa Health System, NEOUCOM and IC-MedTech) which may
soon be approved
for the treatment of diseases ranging from cancer and viral infections
to obesity
and Alzheimer's.
Please go to the following links to find out more about this new
biotechnology related to liquid crystals and its possible opportunities
for future research and development in Ohio.
