Three CPIP students receive Great Lakes Photonics Scholarship

Congratulations to the co-recipients of the Great Lakes Photonics
Scholarship:

Fenghua Li, Jeremy Neal, and Shin-Ying Lu, all from the Liquid Crystal
Institute. The winners were selected based on the Abstracts of their
presentations submitted to the Great Lakes Photonics Symposium, GLPS2006.

Fenghua Li, presentation on Ferroelectric nanoparticles in liquid crystals

Jeremy Neal, presentation on Numerical calculations of the magnetic
susceptibility of cut gold nanorings

Shin-Ying Lu, presentation on Electrically tunable chiral materials for
spatial light modulators

The scholarships are aimed to support student participation in the GLPS2006 and will cover the Conference fee. The Scholarship certificates will be given at GLPS2006.
